WoW Forever announced at BlizzCon 2026
In short
- A third WoW experience alongside modern WoW and Classic
- Beta Sept 17 · Launch Nov 4, 2026
- 9 dungeons, 2 raids, the Skyborne race, Hardcore later
Blizzard opened BlizzCon 2026 with World of Warcraft: Forever, a third World of Warcraft experience alongside modern WoW and Classic. It revisits the original Azeroth with an adventure to level 60, then keeps growing with new stories and updates.
The headline list: three new zones, more than 1,000 new quests, nine new dungeons, two raids (the 10-player Barrow Deeps and the 20-player Hyjal Summit), the new Skyborne race, and a Hardcore mode on the post-launch roadmap.
Blizzard's opening post counts three new zones, while the What's Next panel described four areas: Zephras Isle, Shen'dralas, the Riverglades and Mount Hyjal. We're labelling that difference unconfirmed until Blizzard clarifies.
